Rules and Consequences
(everyone has rules, even the teacher!)
Teacher Rules
As your teacher, I will:
* keep the classroom a positive environment
* use the end of every day to answer any questions about what was learned
* begin every week by allowing student to share what they have done over the weekend
* be available every day after school for extra help
* make sure that everyone understands what is being taught before we start something new
*understand when you are frustrated
* treat you with respect

Student Rules
1. Treat Others with Respect
* Raise your hand: listen to other and they will listen to you
* Don’t name call: you will make friends if you use your words to say kind things
Student Does Not Raise Hand at Appropriate Time: 1st offense- verbal warning 2nd offense- mountain climber moves down one step 3rd offense- behavior contract 4th offense- note home to parents |
Name Calling: 1st offense- verbal warning 2nd offense- behavior contract 3rd offense- conference with students involved 4th offense- not home to parents |
2. Show Respect for the School
* Walk quietly in the hall: other classes are learning
* Don’t write on the desks: we will change desks every month, and other students will be using them
* Keep the Art, Music, Library areas like you found them: other students will be using these areas after you leave

Not Cleaning ‘Special’ areas: Consequences for ‘Specials’ will be determined by those teachers themselves. Within the next week, each teacher will be sending home a letter of expectations and consequences for their class. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me. |
